I spoke at the IAAP- Peel-Halton Chapter’s 30th Anniversary at the Four Points Sheraton. Audience members included executive assistants to support staff for large firms. I delivered a power point presentation on Business Etiquette for the 21st Century which included dress codes, greetings and handshakes, and daily interactions in the workplace.

Top 20 Under 20™ is a national youth awards program presented by Youth in Motion and sponsored by ING Canada, ING Foundation, and Bell Canada. It honours young Canadians who have demonstrated a significant level of achievement, innovation and leadership but have not yet reached the age of 20. 11 year old James Valitchka, above, authored a national best seller in his category! Teaching this dynamic group of achievers proved that the human potential is unlimited. This was a 4 hour seminar and I incorporated dining etiquette as part of the event.

Although working with a politician was a first for me, I was more than ready for the challenge. Some of the tasks we tackled were: editing written material for the Green Party website, performing a complete business attire wardrobe audit, shopping for an appropriate suit and accessories to be worn during the televised debate, fine tuning opening and closing statements, and most importantly - simulating the televised debate via videotape in preparation for the moment.

Dress Your Best is a not for profit organization that clothes men and women seeking employment. Founded by Jessica Roelink, working with this team means so much to me and allows me to give back to the community. The clients that I work with are so thankful and appreciative and the volunteers are so giving.
